Kingston library now responding to texting

Patrons of the Kingston Public Library may now receive text-message alerts concerning overdue items or the availability of books or other materials.

The library began the new text-message service in October.

The new service also allows patrons to send text messages to the library at 466-8901 to renew books, ask a reference question and reserve a book.
