Kreis era ends at Coalfield

A coaching era is over at Coalfield. Garry Kreis has hung up the whistle after nearly 30 years of roaming the sidelines for the Yellow Jackets.

Kreis helped put Coalfield football on the map during the last 21 seasons as head coach. He finished with 165 wins, 18 trips to the playoffs, half-a-dozen district/region championships (1990, 91, 94, 95, 2005, 06), and a dozen Morgan County titles to leave his mark on the Tennessee high school football scene. He also served as an assistant at Coalfield from 1979-1986.
