Twenty-four hours after rolling to an 11-0 victory at home over Wartburg, the Oliver Springs Lady Bobcats travelled to Wartburg and cruised to an 11-1 victory in five innings.
Kim Hall tossed a two-hitter past the Lady Bulldogs on Monday and she was even better on Tuesday as she allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out 12 on the day.
Offensively, the Lady ‘Cats put the game away quickly with nine runs in the first two innings of play.
Hall, Ellie Morgan, Kayla Hughes, Brooke Barger and Megan Whalen all scored in succession in the first inning as the Lady ‘Cats jumped out to a 5-0 lead. Hughes, Barger, Whalen and Jessie Morgan all drove in runs for Oliver Springs in the first inning.
The Lady ‘Cats scored four more runs in the top of the second inning to make the score 9-0.
Kayla Crisp, Hall, Ellie Morgan and Barger scored the runs in the inning with Hall, Whalen and Jessie Morgan driving in the runs.
Oliver Springs scored their final two runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Tabitha Tinker walked and scored on a triple from Hall then Hall scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Hughes.
Wartburg scored an unearned run in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Hall (4-4, 1 2B, 1 3B, 2 RBIs, 3 runs), Whalen (2-2, 3 RBIs, 1 run) and Jessie Morgan (2-2, 1 2B, 3 RBIs) all had multiple hits for the Lady 'Cats.
Oliver Springs is scheduled to play at Anderson County on Friday.
