In a rather stunning turn of events, the Scott High Lady Highlanders shocked the Kingston Lady Jackets with a 2-0 win on Tuesday evening at Kingston.

For Kingston, Tuesday’s loss was the first of the season as the Lady Jackets are now 5-0-2 on the season. The Lady Jackets are 2-1 in district play.

It took 18 minutes for the Lady 'Landers to score, but Erica Laxton broke through for Scott High to make the score 1-0.

Two minutes later, Scott High struck again with a Brittany Morrow goal to push the lead to 2-0 which was what the score would be at halftime.

Scott High had 10 shots on goal at the end of the half compared to four for Kingston.

In the second half Kingston had 10 shots on goal compared to eight for the Lady 'Landers and had some close shots stymied by the Scott High goalie. Kingston’s best scoring chance came with about five minutes to play when Skotti Bullington put a hard shot on goal.

The best efforts of the Lady Jackets weren't enough as they fell 2-0. Erica Ostrander had 10 saves for the Lady Jackets in defeat.

Kingston will be at home again Monday when they take Sequoyah.
