Lady Waves roll past Lady Dawgs

Armed with bats of aluminum and hot pitching, the Midway Lady Green Waves capsized the Wartburg Central Lady Bulldogs with a convincing 15-2 victory Monday afternoon in softball action.

The runs started pouring in early on as Alex Coffman hit a triple to start the game, followed by an RBI single by Lacey Davidson. Adding more punishment in the opening inning was Hannah Colyer with an RBI double and Katie Alexander, with a two-run homer that seemed to travel all the way to Frozen Head State Park to take an early 4-0 lead.
