Largen ought to recant ignorant statements

Being as I have never written a letter to Our Readers Write, I felt compelled to do so in relation to columnist Gerald Largen’s opinion on the Jews and Israel on Sept. 23.

I know that opinions are like noses, everybody has one.

But when he stated his ignorance of the Word of God about Israel and the Jewish people as being God’s chosen people and God Almighty establishing His name in the holy city of Jerusalem, then there is something he needs to know about God’s Word if indeed he believes the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God.

In Genesis 12:1-3, God almighty called one man by the name of Abram and made promises to him and his descendants that are still relevant today.

The Old Testament is proof beyond any doubt that the Jews in the land of Israel are indeed God’s chosen people.

And all would do well to believe His words.

I pray Mr. Largen will recant his statement that these promises are ignorant rantings.

God’s Word is truth.
