Lavender killed in wreck

Twenty-year-old Dustin Lavender of Deer Lodge died from injuries he sustained in a head-on collision Thursday.

Lavender was traveling east on State Route 329 (Deer Lodge Highway) when he crossed the center line while negotiating a curve. The 1988 Subaru XT he was driving struck a 2001 Nissan Sentra, driven by Kevin E. Anderson, 34, Deer Lodge, head-on, according to the report filed by Trooper Mike Beaty with the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
