Harriman resident and 2013 Boston Marathon participant Tara Stockton wasn’t harmed in Monday’s explosions, according to Roane County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tim Phillips. Stockton’s husband is Roane County Sheriff Jack Stockton.

“I know that Tara’s OK because I talked to her,” Phillips said.

Two bombs exploded near the finish line at the Boston Marathon.

“We don’t yet have all the answers, but we do know that multiple people have been wounded, some gravely in explosions at the Boston Marathon,” President Barack Obama said.

Phillips said he hadn’t spoken to the sheriff, who was in Boston with his wife. Phillips said Tara Stockton was trying to find her husband when they spoke.
