Local teams bow out on second day

After a disappointing opening day to the TSSAA Spring Fling for the Rockwood Tigers, Harriman Blue Devils and Midway Lady Green Waves on Tuesday, all three were eliminated Wednesday with early afternoon losses.

Rockwood suffered the toughest loss as Joey Cofer’s squad gave up four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning in dropping a 7-6 decision against Friendship Christian School. Rockwood had dropped a 5-4 decision in extra innings to Jackson Christian School on Tuesday.
