“A Homecoming History of Harriman and Harriman City Schools” was a sharing of memories of the “good old days” with an emphasis on the education system. Editor Nancy Wimmer said the first printing sold out within a week. Two surprises the interviewers learned: the inventor of the automatic record changer, Vaughn Butler, lived in Harriman; and Harriman once had buses that ran around the clock.
