Officials studied possible ramifications of an error in a city charter amendment voted on in the Kingston city election. The amendment would change the dates for municipal elections. According to city attorney Sandy McPherson, the typographical error was made in drafting the proposed charter change in the form of a question. The date was correct in the bill that was sent to Nashville.
