The Emory Gap neighborhood revitalization was nearly complete. All the houses were improved, with remodeling where necessary, painting, roofing and/or insulation. Sidewalks were installed, about 5,000 feet of streets were leveled and widened, and sewer and water lines were put in. Funding was applied for from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. A park for the area children, expected to be finished by the end of the year, will complete the project.
