Louise Cronan, 85, of Harriman, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012, in Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was born Sept. 27, 1926, in Bradley County, moving to Roane County in 1954. She had worked at various hospitals and health care centers as a nurse’s aide before retiring from Rockwood hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved spending time with her family and cooking for her children and grandchildren. She also was an avid seamstress who loved making quilts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zim and Vallie Noccorina Millsap; a brother, Robert V. Millsap; and two sisters, Geraldine Ingram and Duean Gallman.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Cronan and wife Kathy, Harriman, and Max Cronan and wife Faye, Kingston; a brother, Vernon Millsap and wife Alida, Hodgkins, Ill.; a sister, Dorothy Stevenson, Cleveland; four grandchildren, Amy Cronan Jones and husband John, Bartlett, Nathan Cronan, Kingston, Shawn Dee Cronan, Knoxville, and Karie Dee Cronan Cecil and husband Patrick, Woodbury, Tenn.; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Jones, Aubrie Jones and Ansley Jones, Karlee Cronan, Trent Lancaster, Cathan Cecil and Megan Louise Cecil; several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
The family received friends from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 6, in Fraker Funeral Home, Kingston, with funeral service following at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel, with Pastor Wayne Townsend officiating. Friends and family met at 10 a.m. Monday, May 7, at Kingston Memorial Gardens for graveside services.
