Irene “Mamie” Ball, seated in center, celebrates her 100th birthday with family and friends in The Bridge at Rockwood. Helping her celebrate are, seated from left, The Bridge Chaplain Brian Hines; her son, Wayne Ball; and standing, her son, Tony Ball; and a friend, Betty Ann Goddard. Her 100th birthday was Feb. 20. Sandy Langley of The Bridge said Ball enjoys spending her time visiting with others, watching birds and squirrels outside her window and sitting outside with her sons when the weather is pretty.
Ball particularly enjoys visits with her sons, Tony, left, and Wayne. “Mamie has the prettiest smile and still gets dressed up every day and loves pretty earrings,” Langley said. “She was so thrilled with the big party and all her old friends that came to wish her a happy birthday.”
