An Oliver Springs man was arrested last week after running his truck off the road near Harriman.

Emergency crews were dispatched to Harriman Hwy. on March 30 on a report of a rollover accident.

A 30-year-old Harriman man was sentenced to three years in prison for  robbery.

Jockaree Phillips of 1639 Old Roane St. pleaded guilty last week.

The crime occurred on April 2, 2008. A sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to 221 Dogtown Road to investigate a robbery.

A woman told the deputy she was awakened and saw a white male standing by her bed.

“She asked what he wanted, and he said he had other people with him,” the affidavit said. “She got out of bed and put her clothes on. She then went out the bedroom door and met a friend of her boyfriend by the (name) of Jockaree Phillips.”

The affidavit said he put his hand over her mouth and asked where the money was.

“She told him that her boyfriend had all the money and was at work,” the affidavit said. “He then tied her up with an extension cord and had her sit in the hallway.”

The victim later identified Phillips and Adam Phillips as the men who broke into her home, according to the affidavit.

Jockaree Phillips was charged with aggravated robbery, burglary habitation and theft of property.

The burglary and theft charges were dismissed as part of his plea deal.

Charges relating to an alleged aggravated burglary that occurred last October were also dismissed.

Hill then placed the gun on the ground, according to the report. He was arrested for theft of property and unlawful possession of a firearm.
