Charles Daniel Mullins, who is accused of rape and assaulting a fellow inmate in jail last year, was released from jail after making bond last Thursday.
Mullins, 32, was on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry from a 2005 conviction of criminal attempt to commit rape in Cumberland County when he was indicted for rape last October.
On the Cumberland County charge, he was sentenced to community supervision for life and ordered to wear a GPS tracking unit.
