Margaret Gentry, 83, of Harriman, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012, in Victorian Square Assisted Living, Rockwood.
She was born Feb. 7, 1929, in Madisonville to Thomas Russell Tallent and Reba Lois Tallent. She was a member of Rockwood First Baptist Church, where she was also a member of the Victory Group. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Gentry.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Gentry Wright, Soddy-Daisy; a son and daughter-in-law, Alan W. Gentry and Malinda Taylor, Franklin; two grandchildren, Petty Officer 2nd Class Nicholas Wright, Norfolk, Va., and Pvt. Corey Wright, Fort Sills, Okla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard Eugene and Wanda Sue Tallent, Hixson; a sister, Patricia Harrill, Hixson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in Rockwood First Baptist Church, 309 N. Chamberlain Ave., Rockwood, Tenn. 37854. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the church. Evans Mortuary, Rockwood, is in charge of arrangements.
