Midway defense comes up big in Round 1 win

For possibly the first time this season, the Midway Green Wave defense may have bailed out the offense in their 49-15 win over Grace Christian Academy Friday night in the first round of the TSSAA Class A playoffs.

The high powered Grace passing offense had put up some pretty good numbers the past few weeks, but Midway’s defense stepped it up a notch by forcing eight sacks and the defensive backs picked off three more passes to choke off much of the Rams momentum.
