Midway slumps in pre-holiday action

It was a tough end to the pre Christmas schedule for both Midway basketball teams Thursday night when they hosted Wartburg in a make up game from an earlier postponement.

The Lady Waves have not been worked over very badly all season, but they were in this one. Wartburg rolled to a 70-24 win and invoked the new basketball mercy rule for the first time in any game either Midway team has had.

The Green Waves stayed close for a half, but another second half swoon left them on the short end of a 55-21 loss to the Bulldogs.
