Midway splits with Bears

The district portion of the schedule began Tuesday night for the Midway Green Wave and Lady Waves when they hosted Tellico Plains. 

The Lady Waves fell 57-50 to start 0-1 in District 3A, but the Green Wave would get a big 61-59 come-from-behind win to start out 1-0. 

Midway will travel to Monterey this Saturday to try to get a little payback from the earlier meeting at home. Monterey won both games to spoil Midway’s season openers. The girls game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
