With only 2,667 voters turning on in Morgan County races were determined by a small percentage of those eligible to vote.
In county races, Carol Hamby will remain County Clerk for two more years completing the unexpired term of Tim Steelman who was elected to the office in 2006 but resigned after only a few months on that term in office. Hamby received 1412 votes to her challenger Sheila Aytes Wilson's 1130 votes.
Assessor of Property - Biff Wilson, unopposed, received 2,010 votes.
County Attorney - Andrew Hall, unopposed as a write-in, 65 votes.
School Board, second district - Terry Armes received 232 and Jerry Reynolds received 59; fourth district, Glen Moore, unopposed, received 246; sixth district, Wendy Collins received 442 and Sally Randi Armes received 212.
State Senate Democratic Primary: Becky Ruppe received 1,257.
State Senate Republican Primary: Ken Yager received 647.
State Representative Democratic Primary: incumbent John Mark Windle received 1,427 while his challenger fellow Democrat Glenn Stockton received 95 votes.
U.S. House of Representatives Democratic Primary: Lincoln Davis 1,370 and Bert Mason 84.
U.S. House of Representatives Republican Primary: Kent Greenough 84, Monty Lankford 458 and Don Strong 97.
U.S. Senate Democratic Primary: Mark Clayton 211, Gary Davis 302, Kenneth Eaton 48, Leonard D. Ladner 40, Mike Padgett 268 and Robert Tuke 54.
U.S. Senate Republican Primary: Lamar Alexander 797.
