Two lawsuits have been filed in Knoxville U.S. District Court over a death that occurred at the Roane County Jail.
One was filed for the mother of Crystal Marlena Price. The other was filed on behalf of Price’s minor son.
Price, 26, was an inmate at the jail when she died on Dec. 30, 2011.
Sheriff Jack Stockton said she was found unresponsive in a holding cell.
“They had started CPR, and then they transported her,” Stockton said a few days after Price’s death. “She passed away shortly after that.”
