Elizabeth Ann Steele and Joseph Carter Scarborough were married May 11 at the North Carolina Arboretum, Asheville, N.C.
The Rev. Rick Baumgarner and the Rev. Kate Fiedler Boswell officiated during the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Edward Steele Jr. of Easley, S.C. Her grandparents are Jane Young of Monroe, N.C., and the late George Young Jr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Doyle E. Steele Sr. of Easley.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Scarborough of Rockwood. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scarborough of Dublin, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kenyon of Richmond, Va.
The bride, escorted by her father, was attended by her friend, Laura Burnett, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Whitney Jenkins, Joanna Liston and Elizabeth Orr. Bailee Scarborough served as flower girl.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Thomas Scarborough, brother of the groom, and the groom’s friends Chas Narramore, Anthony Piper and Lee Smalley.
After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple will be at home in Greenville, S.C.
The bride, who holds a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from Clemson University, is a clinical research coordinator with Greenville Health System.
The groom is development operations manager with Johnson Development Associates. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Clemson University.
