Jacquelyn Jacoby and H. Lloyd Wattenbarger were married on April 24 aboard the Queen Mary II in the North Atlantic on a return voyage from England.
Capt. Paul Wright officiated during the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of the late Albert Smith and the late Marion Lunsford.
The groom is the son of the late Henry Wattenbarger and the late Christine Taylor Wattenbarger.
A reception in the Commodore Room immediately followed the ceremony. The ceremony included a traditional English fruitcake with layered marzipan and white icing — the same cake chosen by Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
After three days in Tennessee, the couple flew to Las Vegas for a civil ceremony and honeymoon.
The bride, born in Tacoma, Wash., spent her younger years in Anacortes, Wash. She is a graduate of Seattle University and the University of Tennessee. She taught mathematics and physics at Oak Ridge High School from 1968 until retirement in 2000.
The groom is a Roane County native who was born in Harriman. A graduate of Roane County High School and the University of Tennessee, he spent his junior year at the Universidad de las Americas in Mexico City. He taught French and Spanish at Oak Ridge High School from 1967 until retirement in 2000. Since then he has been a travel agent with Polaris Travel, Oak Ridge.
When they are not traveling, the couple will divide their time between their homes in Oak Ridge and Kingston.
