Tonja Coranne Widick and Ricky Lee Weaver were married in a private outdoor ceremony at noon Feb. 14 in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Chaplain Jim Eastin officiated during the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Marion E. and Ruth A. Kettelhut Widick of Nebraska and southern Utah.
The groom is the son of Maria J. Misamer Weaver of Germany and Tennessee and the late Elmer L. Weaver of Knoxville.
The bride wore an ivory chiffon gown with an apple red satin sash. She carried a bouquet of 14 mixed red roses. Her hair was styled by the groom.
The groom wore a red rose boutonniere, a light tan suit with ivory shirt and gold tie given to him by the bride.
The couple met 14 years ago, on July 22, 1997, in Vail, Colo. The groom, then an active-duty master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force’s Pararescue was in charge of the A-10 crash site recovery mission.
A second outdoor civil ceremony is planned at noon July 22 in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado near Deep Creek Lookout on the Flat Tops.
The couple is at home outside Rockwood.
