In August, I purchased three gift cards for my granddaughters’ birthdays. Two days later, I put their gift cards with their birthday cards in my home mailbox to be sent to them.
Somewhere along the way, one card did not get to the intended recipient.
The card was used a couple days after the purchase by an unauthorized person. It remains to me a mystery how it was able to be cashed so quickly.
It makes me think it didn’t have time to be delivered.
When I checked with the post office, I was asked, “Did you send it certified?”
I answered no, who sends birthday cards certified?
From now on, I will hand deliver such things, or maybe use UPS. I’ve never lost anything through UPS delivery.
