Rockwood’s Maurice Greif has penned a third book, “80-Plus Years of Greif: My In-Laws, The Bernards of Rockwood.”
“There is a lot of information about the families, its beginnings, etc.,” Greif said.
“This book contains lots of early pictures and information about the Stone and Bernard families.”
Greif, a longtime Rockwood resident and businessman, said he would not be in Rockwood had it not been for the Bernards and his wife, the former Carolyn Bernard, who passed away in May 2000.
Greif’s other books are about his life before and after he moved to Rockwood.
He will sell the books from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 27 in Live and Let Live Drugstore in downtown Rockwood.
The books are $25 each, with all proceeds going to the Bernard-Greif Scholarship at Roane State Community College.
Now in its 41st year, the scholarship was most recently presented to Rockwood High School 2014 graduate Dara Cates.
Greif said he welcomes those interested to stop by and talk with him, buy a book and he “might sign it for you and then buy you a cone of ice cream, your choice.”
