Kingston attorney Chris Cawood exercised his right to free speech at the Roane County Sheriff’s Office on Monday — with a profanity laced tirade.
Cawood wanted to give a piece of mail to Roane County Jail inmate Ralph O’Neal, but Chief Deputy Tim Phillips said policy requires that be sent via the post office. Cawood initially spoke with sheriff’s assistant Beth Sams and then demanded to speak to a supervisor.
