No sign of foul play in Super 8 fire

The owner of the Super 8 motel in Harriman that was razed by fire Monday night said he plans to rebuild.

“We are going to be here,” said Sashi Patel, who also operates the Holiday Inn Express nearby.

Patel said state fire officials have released the hotel back to him and now insurance representatives are investigating.

“It is a slow process,” Patel said.

Firefighters were still at the scene Tuesday pouring water on the smoking remains of the building.
