David Charles Dowker

David Charles Dowker died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, after a courageous two-and-a-half-year fight against lung cancer.

He worked at Southern Silk Mills, Allied Chemicals and Goody’s, where he was Goody’s Employee of the Year in 1992. After leaving Goody’s, he started his own business, Dave’s Painting. He was an avid NASCAR fan and he loved spending time at his lake property. He was baptized into Jesus Christ on Jan. 11, 2006, and was faithful until death. He was a member of Post Oak Springs Christian Church, Rockwood.
