Oh my! Could Ol’ Curmudgeon be of Democrat ilk?

-A A +A

I think that Roane County News columnist Gerald Largen is a Democrat.

I refer to his rantings of Oct. 21: His description of the GOP is right in line with current “us vs. them” language coming from the White House.

I believe the actions of Curry Todd is a slap in the face of law-abiding gun owners, and I strongly urge the state to pull his license for at least five years on top of any other actions against him.

Although I agree with photo ID voting, it seems the system broke down somewhere between passing and enforcement.

On Nov. 4, Mr. Largen tells how the First Amendment was trampled and trashed.

He apparently didn’t read Ken Paulson (Oct. 26, 2011).

Has he forgotten what happened in England when the authorities waited to enforce the law?

Does Mr. Largen have any idea where the monetary support for these people comes from?

Broke and jobless, how do I support myself in a protest camp for two, three weeks?

He praises the ACLU for all they have done to protect our constitutional freedoms, (like schools not reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and/or prayers before sporting events, or not wearing the American flags to school during a Mexican holiday, or not saying Merry Christmas) against all onslaughts by those in power to subvert.

What did I miss? Last I heard, the Democrats own the Justice Department!

One more item, on Nov. 8, 2011 he cites a “widely esteemed pundit” from the New York Times.

The Times itself has a semi-direct pipeline to the White House press office and follows the directions given pretty much down the line.

He makes a more or less good assessment of Mr. Friedman’s output. OK for outhouse reading, but not much more. He sometimes appears in our local paper.

Wait! Did I just agree with him?
