Oliver Springs operation leads to 27 indictments for drug sales

Oliver Springs Police Department recently ended a four month undercover operation targeting illegal drug sales in the city.
Indictments were returned on 27 people. Thirteen were indicted in Anderson County while the remaining 14 were indicted in Roane County.
Most of the people were indicted for the sale and delivery of prescription drugs while three of the subjects were indicted on sale and delivery of marijuana.
On Nov. 9 and Nov. 10  Oliver Springs police conducted a round up arresting 19 of the individuals.
Two more were already incarcerated on unrelated charges.
Those in custody that were indicted in Anderson County are: Dennisha L. Freeman, Oak Ridge; Jamie Gunter, Oliver Springs;     Bruce Seiber, Oliver Springs; Shell Seiber, Oliver Springs; Shawna Steelman, Oliver Springs; Jackie Foster, Oliver Springs; Shawn Crevier, Oak Ridge; Jimmy Hardwick, Oliver Springs, and Janet Gilmore, Oliver Springs.
Those arrested so far and indicted in Roane County: Christopher A. Tinker,    Oliver Springs; Brittany Tinker, Oliver Springs; William Tinker, Oliver Springs; Jeramie Clayton, Harriman; David J. Woods, Oliver Springs; Ricky Childs, Coalfield; James E. Hall, Oliver Springs; Donna Mcmillian, Oliver Springs; Scotty Stingfield, Oliver Springs; and Carl W. Benton, Oak Ridge.   
Larry W. Patterson and Gregory L. Sage, both of Oliver Springs, were already in custody on unrelated charges.

Jim Estes, a 47-year-old Harriman, was charged with criminal contempt for allegedly violating an ex parte order of protection. He was arrested on Nov. 15. According to the warrant, he was restricted from making contact with the petitioner and their two minor children.
Estes was allegedly trespassing at Bowers Elementary School trying to make contact with one of the children.
“This was witnessed by three school employees,” the warrant said. “Further, this affiant (Harriman Police Officer Jonathan T. Wood) learned that during each visit the defendant was told to stay off school property and he was in violation, which the defendant refused to cooperate.”
Estes, 448 Woolsey Road, is scheduled to appear in court on the criminal contempt charge in February.
