OR heritage group to meet Dec. 9

The Oak Ridge Heritage and Preservation Association monthly meeting will be a festive one, as the group celebrates the holidays, holds its annual meeting and elects new board members.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 in Midtown Community Center, also known as the Wildcat Den, at 102 Robertsville Road, Oak Ridge.

One of the primary focuses of this month’s meeting will be to recognize a special group of Manhattan Project veterans, the Special Engineer Detachment.
