Oak Ridge attorney Mike Ritter has been temporarily suspended by the Tennessee Supreme Court.
According to the Board of Professional Responsibility, the court suspended Ritter for failing to respond to the board about a complaint of misconduct.
The board said court rules call for the immediate suspension of an attorney who does that.
“Effective Feb. 1, 2011, Mr. Ritter is precluded from accepting any new cases and he must cease representing existing clients by March 2, 2011,” the board said late last week in a press release.
