The Oliver Springs Lady Bobcats turned in an absolutely dominating performance over the Harriman Middle School Lady Blue Devils with a 37-15 win.
Harriman got out to an early 3-2 lead before the Lady 'Cats went on a 10-4 run to close the opening period with a 12-7 lead. The Lady 'Cats scratched and clawed their way to a 14-2 second period to take the 26-9 halftime lead.
Oliver Springs had a 9-2 third period to take a 35-11 lead before Harriman cut the final deficit down to 37-15 in the final period.
The Lady 'Cats had a 37-30 advantage on the boards and a 15-9 tilt in team steals.
The Lady 'Cats were led by Emily Griffith (10 points), Sydney Duggins (10 points, 7 boards), Rachel Griffith (7 points, 5 steals), and Kara Topmiller (6 points, 11 boards). Jessica Gilmore (6 boards) also had a standout effort in the win.
Harriman was led in scoring by Ivory Peddicord (3 points) and Kierra Turner (3 points). Marilyn Franklin and Abby Higgins (5 boards each) also played well in the loss for the Lady Devils.

Even though the Oliver Springs Middle School Bobcats gave the Harriman Middle School Blue Devils a run for their money, the Devils held on for a hard fought 28-25 win.
Both teams were tied at 6-6 at the end of the opening period before Harriman took a 15-12 lead going to the locker room.
The Devils took a 23-16 lead into the final period, but Oliver Springs opened the final period with a 9-2 run to tie the game at 25-25.
The Devils, however, scored the last three points to take the 28-25 win.
Oliver Springs had a slim 26-25 edge on the boards and an 11-10 edge in team steals, but Harriman converted eight free-throws compared to four for the Bobcats.
The Devils were led on offense by John Johnson (10 points), and Christian Upton (7 points, 5 boards). Dwight Farmer (9 boards) and Cody Williams (5 boards) also played outstanding in the victory for the Devils.
Oliver Springs was led on offense by Markus Miller (11 points, 9 boards) and Brandon Tinker (5 points).
