“Humpty Dumpty is Missing,” a one-act comedy caper blending fairy tales, nursery rhymes and Scriptural truth, will be performed next month in Rockwood First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) at 328 W. Rockwood St.
The performance, presented by the Christian Acting Singing Troupe of Peachtree Christian Church, Atlanta, will begin after a 6 p.m. covered-dish meal on June 8.
“Humpty Dumpty is Missing” is CAST’s summer show.
CAST is a performing organization comprised of youth ranging from ages 13-18 years.
Founded by the Rev. Nancy Oliver, CAST is now in its 28th year and has performed in 30 states, Puerto Rico and Canada. This year’s tour will take the ensemble to Tennessee, Indiana and Ohio.
CAST was chosen to perform at a General Assembly of the Chris-
tian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 1999.
This youth drama ministry, through dramatic and comedic performances, feeds the spiritual growth of the performers and involves them in the church’s outreach as they share their faith with others.
Peachtree Christian Church, now in its 87th year, is at Peachtree and Spring streets in midtown Atlanta.
The church is on the National Register of Historic Places due to its magnificent stained glass windows in the sanctuary.
The mission of Peachtree Christian Church is to “Share Christ, Build Believers and Serve Others.”
