Bowers Elementary School students who earned perfect attendance during the 2013-14 school year took home big prizes, thanks to South Harriman Schools Alumni and Friends. Maggie Collins, left, is the recipient of a bicycle, while repeat winners, beginning second from left, Maria Ibarra, Matthew Rogers and Emma Ward each received electronic tablets.
Also receiving bicycles for perfect attendance are, from left, Allan Hovey, Abigail Roberts and Brittany Brown. South Harriman Alumni and Friends Organization includes more than 600 associates with previous affiliations with schools in the South Harriman community.
Others receiving bicycles for perfect attendance are, from left, Kolten Mullins, Tony Ibarra and Riley Moore. South Harriman Alumni and Friends Organization has a heavy presence at Bowers, including having Veterans Day displays, Memorial Day recognitions and sponsoring a 4-H camp scholarship for a Bowers student. The Roane County Epilepsy Foundation provided helmets for this year’s bicycle recipients.
