It’s a Hummer you see traveling down Roane Street in Harriman, but it isn’t the military doing maneuvers.
It’s Harriman Police Department’s latest find, one of a number of practically free — or, at least, cheap — items they got from a variety of military bases including Fort Bragg,
N.C.
“We have had to spend really little money to get it,” Harriman Police Chief Randy Heidle said.
He said he’s bought about $67,000 in gear for about $574, using drug fund money to purchase the items.
