Pro2Serve and Roane Imagination Library kick off donation challenge

Roane Imagination Library has teamed up with corporate sponsor Pro2Serve to match the first $5,000 raised by new donors and those who haven’t donated in the last year.

Pro2Serve, an engineering services company on the Oak Ridge National Lab campus, and Roane Imagination Library kicked off this challenge late last month.

For current donors, those who donate in 2011 or already in 2012, Pro2Serve will match the increase in the donors’ contribution dollar for dollar.

The generous donations of people in the community goes a long way to helping send books to children ages birth to 5 in Roane County.

“Up to 140,000 books have been distributed in Roane County Since September 2004 when we were created,” said Jill McMaster, coordinator of Roane Imagination Library.

In 2011 alone, 21,300 books went to Roane County children.

“Pro2Serve is committed to the local area by actively promoting community involvement and providing financial support to improve the quality of life,” McMaster said in a letter to potential donors.
Checks should be made payable to Roane Imagination Library and can be mailed to P.O. Box 128 Kingston TN 37763.

Donations can also be made online at www.governorsfoundation.org by clicking on ‘give’ and selecting Roane County.
