Men’s Game

Even with a depleted, razor-thin roster in terms of depth, the Roane State Raiders survived a foul-laden affair with the Chattanooga State Tigers with an 86-79 win.

After the Tigers took the early 8-4 lead, the Raiders responded in kind with a 14-2 swing to take an 18-10 lead early on.

The Raiders would go on to take a 40-32 lead to the locker room as C.J. Foster (9 points) and Rod Drummond (6 points) led the Raiders at the half.

Chattanooga State would slowly whittle the Roane State lead down to one point in the second half with less than a minute to go before the Raiders hit pivotal free throws at the right time to escape with the 86-79 win.
