Employees at Ratchet’s Bar and Grill and Gateway Spirits in Rockwood were cited earlier this month for selling alcohol to underage customers earlier.

Megan Elizabeth Miles, 21, Rockwood, was cited at Ratchet’s Bar and Grill.

According to police reports, Miles looked at the minor’s identification and appeared to struggle to tell the age of the person attempting to purchase the beer before making the sale.

At Gateway Spirits, Kendra Renee Williams, 35, was cited.

Authorities reported a minor picked up two small bottles of whiskey, went to the counter, paid for them and exited the premises without ever being asked to show any identification.

The operation was done by Rockwood Police and the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission using cooperating minors.

The report said Williams was cited to Roane County General Sessions and issued a regulatory fine by Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission Special Agent Derek Dalton.

Miles was cited into Roane County General Sessions by Rockwood Police Detective Josh Rymer.
