Registered sex offender accused of raping teen

Charles Daniel Mullins was convicted of criminal attempt to commit rape in Cumberland County in 2005.
He was sentenced to community supervision for life, ordered to wear a GPS tracking unit and was placed on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry.
Despite the sentence, Mullins is accused of committing another sex crime in Roane County earlier this year.
The Roane County grand jury indicted him for rape last week. The alleged crime occurred on March 14. The alleged victim was 15.
