The Tennessee Pharmacists Association has selected a former Harriman resident as its sixth conscutive executive resident.
Zac Renfro, a graduate of the inaugural class of the Belmont University College of Pharmacy of 2012, began his residency during the summer.
He is the son of Lee and Mike Renfro of Harriman. His grandparents are Grace Crabtree of Harriman and Louise Renfro of Rockwood.
During his year with the association, Renfro will work to further the its efforts to advance the profession of pharmacy by expanding the practice of providing Medication Therapy Management Services in Tennessee pharma-
He will also be very involved in pharmacy-based patient care projects that are conducted through the Tennessee Pharmacists Research and Education Foundation.
Renfro completed his undergraduate prerequisites at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
While there, he was involved with a number of organzations and groups, including the Pride of the Southland Marching Band and the University of Tennessee Sailing Club.
Renfro also worked as a certified pharmacy technician for Kroger Pharmacy in Harriman and CVS/Pharmacy in Knoxville until he moved to Nashville.
During his time at Belmont, Renfro was involved in several organizations.
He was a founding brother of the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity-Epsilon Kappa Chapter, served as a delegate for Tennessee Pharmacy Association’s Society of Student Pharmacists, was a member of Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society, served on several university committees, and was the founding chapter president for the Belmont Chapter of the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists.
