Rewards system to be luncheon topic

-A A +A

The design and implementation of a nonmonetary reward system will be the topic during the next Roane County Employers’ Association lunch meeting.

The meeting will start at noon June 14 in the faculty dining room on Roane State Community College’s main campus in Roane County.

Lunch is free to those attending for the first time. RSVP by calling 376-1790 by June 10.

Barry L. Brown, president of Effective Resources Inc., will give this month’s presentation. He will discuss the ways people are motivated to higher levels of job performance by more than monetary rewards.

Employers will be shown how creative use of personalized nonmonetary rewards reinforces positive behaviors and improves employee retention and performance.

Over the past 18 months, amid limited pay budgets, organizations increased their use of noncash rewards as a means to enhance employee retention and engagement.

Brown’s presentation will address ways to:

• Determine which nonmonetary rewards are best for individual companies.

• Implement a self-sustaining nonmonetary rewards program.

• Measure and report value of the program.

Brown is an experienced HR professional with focus on compensation consulting, employee-opinion surveys, customized salary and benefit surveys, and Affirmative Action plans.
