Roane Medical Center, Harriman, will seek the direction of spiritual care leaders of Roane County during a spiritual care forum on Feb. 5.
“We are always looking for ways to better meet the spiritual needs of our patients and staff, as this is an important component to the patient care provided at the hospital,” said Jim Gann, president and chief administrative officer of Roane Medical Center.
“We are inviting clergy members from all the community churches to attend and help us understand how we can improve our processes,” he added.
The forum will allow hospital staff and spiritual care leaders to discuss the importance of spiritual care at the hospital and provide information on how clergy members can become more effective at ministering to the needs of their church members who are patients there.
The forum will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in Roane Medical Center Annex at 431 Roane St., Harriman.
Interested clergy are asked to reserve a spot at the event by calling 865-316-0000 by Jan. 31.
