A Roane County sheriff’s deputy was injured in an afternoon car accident on Feb. 12.
According to a report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Michael Self was in his marked patrol car stopped at a traffic light at Roane and Crescent streets in Harriman.
The report said a 17-year-old driving a 1995 Honda Civic failed to yield and struck the patrol car in the rear.
Self, 26, was taken to Roane Medical Center by ambulance. The report said he suffered a minor injury.
The patrol car was a 2011 Crown Victoria.
Roane County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tim Phillips said he wasn’t sure about the amount of damage done to the patrol car.
“We’re going to have the insurance company come out and look at it,” he said.
