Roane natives come home for Champion

-A A +A

There is a new choice for physical therapy in Roane County — brought to the area by two Roane County natives.

Champion Physical Therapy recently opened its third clinic in the newly renovated The Shoppes at Walden Ridge on North Gateway Avenue in Rockwood.

Other clinics are in Knox and Sevier counties.

Roane County natives and physical therapists Chris Robinson and Jason Eble will operate the center and provide care to patients.

Robinson, a 1990 graduate of Roane County High School and owner in the company, attended physical therapy school at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and brings more than 16 years of experience in clinical and managerial expertise.

His primary area of specialty is orthopedics and sports medicine.

“I have been fortunate to establish positive relationships with a number of quality physicians over the years who have helped me develop my practice by entrusting me with their patients” he said.

Robinson also provides medical support to Rockwood High School and is on the sidelines for football games in the fall.

“I truly enjoy being a part of the action and helping in the event of injury and with the rehabilitation needed to return an athlete to play,” he said.

Eble, a 2005 graduate of Harriman High School and recent graduate of the physical therapy program at East Tennessee State University, is excited to be returning home to begin his professional career.

“It’s great to be back in Roane County,” he said. “I look forward to providing a valuable service to the community which includes so many friends and family.”

The son of Dr. Jay and Linda Eble, Eble understands the importance of being a good listener, treating people well and keeping solid relationships.

“I am eager to combine my education and desire to help people in establishing a successful practice,” he said.

Champion Physical Therapy aims to provide effective treatment for conditions such as back, neck and joint pain; sports- and work-related injuries; and post-surgical cases.

The clinic also offers assistance with balance problems, bertigo, headaches, and TMJ/jaw pain.

“Champion is committed to accommodating patients and referral sources and will provide appointments within 24 hours or immediately after physician visits when needed,” Robinson said.

All major insurances are accepted, including Medicare and TennCare.
