An ad hoc committee of the Tennessee Board of Regents has recommended that Roane State Community College receive $9 million in matching funding to expand its Oak Ridge campus.
The project would enable the college to ease overcrowding at the campus and prepare more students for careers in health care.
The recommendation was to go before the full Board of Regents this week.
The state offered matching funds of $9 million, the maximum match available to a community college.
