Roane State Community College graduates, dean's list: Summer 2013

A number of Roane State Community College students from Roane County graduated following summer semester.

Graduating summa cum laude with a grade-point average of 4.0-3.9 was Taylor Narramore of Kingston.

Michael Steinmetz of Harriman graduated magna cum laude with a GPA of 3.89-3.7.

Other graduates from Roane County are:

— Kelley Bullard, Jared Clinton, Hailey Leach, Jessica Redmon, Michael Shipley and Justin Stevenson.

Kingston — Suzannah Alexander, Renee Crowe, Katie Hamilton and Carlos Harrison.

Oliver Springs — Janet Phillips, Sandra Tripp and Natasha Wynn.

Rockwood — Debra Bingham,  Michael Cox,  Kayla Evans, Jonathan Moore and Jonathan Russell.

Ten Mile — Linda Kouril.

Also during summer semester, three Roane County students earned dean’s list honors at Roane State.

Chynna Barnett of Kingston, Lauren Bunch of Oliver Springs and Megan Deheck of Rockwood earned the honor.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average while attempting 12 or more semester hours of college-level courses.

Roane State is a two-year college providing transfer programs, career-preparation programs and continuing education.

Founded in 1971, the college’s main campus is in Roane County, with other campuses in Crossville, Huntsville, Jamestown, Knoxville, LaFollette, Lenoir City, Oak Ridge and Wartburg.
