Rockwood Public Library recently celebrated the end of its summer reading program.
Participants in Rockwood Public Library’s summer reading program enjoy a pizza party to mark the program’s end for 2011. “One World, Many Stories” was this year’s theme. To go along with the multicultural theme, the children had pizza and fortune cookies, and each child received chopsticks to experience eating with them.
Receiving medals as the top readers in this year’s summer reading program are, from left, Landon Murray, Liam Pulcifer and Elsha Pinner.
How do marshmallows hold up to chopsticks? Fairly well, as more than one child discovered during the pizza party.
